Sounds like the time off has really done some good.  Great shooting and hope you continue to take advantage of what your learning as time goes on with your bowling.  We can give the doubles another try if you want, just put in the entry and I'll follow-up the next week.  Use my Friday Hi-Roller league for the entry.  I have to check my other leagues to see how many week are still left.  Have at least 3 to 4 in my Friday Hi Roller if my memory is not falling me again.

Looking forward giving it a try.  Hope the family is doing fine and your Misses isn't giving you too much of a hard time with your bowling.

Good Luck

How are you doing Leonard?  Hope you are doing good!  I've been away for awhile and I thought I will be okay to team up with you again, if you are game.

Just to let you know I am working on my game and trying to deal with my nerves when I am bowling.  I googled some tips to use on how to control your nerves and found a very interesting one.  I have been doing it and now seemed to have controlled my nerves.  I also stopped drinking energy drinks as it is full of caffeine that could increase nervousness and heartbeat!!  I found out just last Friday that banana is very good for stamina so I ate a couple before my league and also before joining the Friday night sweeper.  It is our special night as this is the added money night, I haven't been winning in my last 5 attempts so my average went really down.  It is good though because I get a very high handicap.  However, I bowled my best 4 games that night starting with a 237 scratch!  I jumped ahead in the lead but cooled down a bit in the next 2 games and several high rollers caught up with my score.  I went back to my Rotogrip Mars ball in the last game and got 197, just enough to get the second place only 2 pins shy of the eventual champion!  Can't complain as I won $500+ for my effort

I still felt good the following day although I slept around 3:00AM but my body seemed not satisfied with that competition so I joined another tournament, the qualifying for Jack Benny Memorial.  This is not a big time tournament but you get to experience match play competition if you qualify for the stepladder finals.  I am carrying 36 pins handicap but I played very well once again for my average.  I shot a 606 and qualified 3rd.  In the match play, the 4th place beat the 5th qualifier easily; in our match though he opened early so I was able to take the lead and won 165 - 125!  Very low scoring game.  I then bowled the 2nd qualifier (female) and had to concentrate more to get some good shots.  I started with a 4 bagger and never looked back; finished the match with 214.  In the finals I was dialed in and went clean with a 223, another 600 series!  I just won $100+ but the experience was awesome, this is my second title in Jack Benny, I won 1 last year as well but this one is sweeter.

I'm looking forward to apply all I've learned this weekend to our Friday league.  We are not bowling Friday but we are again set for next week.  I think only 6 or 7 weeks remaining.  Let me know if you are interested to hook up once again and hope I won't let you down this time.  Thanks for reading.
