Tournament Rules
Any USA (Or US Military) Adult League that follows standard American Ten Pin rules qualify. Both USBC Certified AND Non-USBC Certified Bowling Leagues qualify.
You MUST be 18 years or older and NOT a USBC Youth Bowler
NO-TAP Leagues do NOT qualify
Your League must bowl at least three games during one League session.
You MUST have a 2010 - 2011 Book Average from ANY League in the Fall/Winter season listed on USBC's website (http://www.bowl.com) with at least 36 games
-- OR --
you must have at least 36 games in CURRENT season for the League you are using for entry.
You must be a ROSTER (No Substitutes) member of the League being used for the Tournament.
All Tournaments run for an entire week
Tournaments begin on Monday at 12:00 a.m. (PST) and end the following Sunday at 11:59 p.m. (PST).
Entry Fees are due by Monday at 12:00 p.m. (PST) (noon) for the Tournament week beginning that day. Entries must be paid for prior to physically bowling.
US Military:
Due to the time differences, your entries MUST be in BEFORE you bowl, or Mondays at 12:00pm PST, whichever comes first.
Make-up games, pre bowls, and post bowls will NOT be accepted unless they are physically bowled during the Tournament week.
All Tournaments are three game sets.
All Tournaments are for three games only. If your Bowling League has more than three games, then the first three games will be used towards the Tournament.
Singles Tournaments
If you are on multiple Leagues, you can enter MULTIPLE times (once per League per week). You may enter the same League in Singles and Doubles.
We will automatically place you in the correct division upon receiving your scores. The Division you are placed in will be based on your average as outlined in Rule # 11 below.
Doubles Tournaments
If you are on multiple Leagues, you can enter MULTIPLE times (once per League per week).
You may use yourself as a Doubles Partner if you are in multiple Leagues.
You must be entered into the Singles Tournament with at least one league in order to enter into the Doubles with ANY league.
Handicap
The Handicap is 90% of Highest Entering Average. For example, if you are in the "up to 199" Division and the Highest Average from all the bowlers entered in the Tournament is 196, then the Handicap will be 90% of 196.
Bonus Pins
Bonus pins apply only to the Singles Tournaments.
For every week that you do not win money in the Tournament itself (not including Brackets, Sidepots or Eliminators), you will receive two additional pins, which will be applied to your next Tournament Entry scores. Once you win money in the Tournament itself, your Bonus pins will be reset to zero.
Your scores MUST be received in order to receive this incentive. If you have no scores, you will not receive any Bonus pins. If your entry gets disqualified for any reason, you will not receive the Bonus pins.
DEFINITION: Previous Seasons Book Average
If you have a Previous Seasons Book Average from the Fall/Winter season for the League you are using for entry, then that is what we will use as your Previous Seasons Book Average for the League you are using for Entry.
If you have multiple previous seasons averages from multiple leagues, then we reserve the right to use the highest previous seasons average from the Fall/Winter season for the league you are using for entry. This is usually done when the multiple averages differ by more than 10 pins from within the same center.
If you DO NOT have a Previous Seasons Book Average for the League you are using for entry, then we will use the HIGHEST average with at least 36 games from ANY Fall/Winter season League as your Previous Seasons Book Average for the League you are using for Entry.
If you DO NOT have ANY Previous Seasons Book Average from the 2010 - 2011 Fall/Winter season, you must have at least 36 games in CURRENT season for the League you are using for entry. In which case, we will always use your current league average.
Average used for Tournament
We will use your current Bowling League Average for the League you used to enter in determining your Handicap.
If your Previous Seasons Book Average (as defined above) is 10 pins or more than current League Average, then we will use Previous Seasons Book Average (as defined above) in determining your Handicap.
If your League utilizes Previous Seasons Book Average for the first X number of weeks of your League, we reserve the right to rerate your average to the TRUE League Average (Total pins/Total Games).
We reserve the right (and we DO use this right) to rerate your Average based on current bowling ability. This is usually reviewed after a bowler has 4 consective tournament entries that were in cash winning positions.
Scores must be posted and information sent to us by Tuesdays at 11:59 p.m. (PST) for the previous weeks Tournament.
If we receive your information after the above stated time, your scores will not be accepted.
It is the bowlers responsibility to ensure the scores, recaps and standings are sent to us before the cut-off time.
Leagues that do not upload to LeagueSecretary.com
You must manually enter your scores and fax in your recaps and standing sheets with the EntryID clearly marked on the fax to 815-301-1857 or 602-445-9359. You may also email a scanned copy of your recaps and standings to

Leagues that upload to LeagueSecretary.com
If you know that your League Secretary uploads your data to LeagueSecretary.com in a timely fashion, then you should not have any problems. HOWEVER, it is suggested that you enter your own scores and fax in your recaps and standings just in case.
It is the bowlers responsibility to ensure that the League Secretary and/or Bowling Center Management uploads the data before the cut-off time.
If you are the League Secretary of the League, we will require a copy of the physical printout of each of the games bowled for you and your Team.

Scores will be verified with the Bowling Center
Scores for the cash payout winners will be verified with the Bowling Center and/or League Secretary (in some cases BOTH) prior to prize distribution. Other scores will be randomly verified. The bowler is to inform the Center and League Secretary that they are participating in a Virtual Bowling Tournament and that the Center or League Secretary may be called to confirm scores. Should the Center or League Secretary refuse to confirm the scores, the bowlers entry will be disqualified and no refund will be issued.
It is the bowlers responsibility to ensure that the League Secretary or Bowling Center Management uploads the data before the cut-off time.
If you are the League Secretary of the League, we will require a copy of the physical printout of each of the games bowled for you and your Team.
1 in every 5 Bowlers will win, rounded down
