For 26 weeks (two 13 week segments), from September 15, 2008 thru and including the March 30, 2009 Tournaments, we will be running a Tournament within our normal weekly Tournaments.
Here is how it will work::
For every dollar you win in our weekly Tournaments (during the VT Cup Series), you will be awarded one point per dollar, per league. If you are in multiple Leagues, then you will be entered into the VT Cup Series multiple times, however, since this is on a PER LEAGUE basis, you can only place in the top four of the VT Cup Series once.
How much does it cost?:
There is NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE to enter into the VT Cup Series. The Entry Fee that you pay each and every week already covers your entry into the VT Cup Series. A portion of the money from every entry goes into the VT Cup Series Prize Fund. You simply enter any of our weekly Tournaments each week that you can and you are automatically involved in the VT Cup Series.
What are my chances?:
That all depends on you. Enter into as many of our weekly Tournaments as you can, including Brackets, Sidepots and Eliminators, then just bowl your heart out. Doubles is a great way to enter multiple times each week since you can have unlimited number of entries by teaming up with multiple different people.
What do the top four winners receive?:
The VT Cup series will payout an additional $5,000 per segment ($10,000 Total) GUARANTEED over and above the weekly payouts. This amount could rise as more entries are received.
Based on 2007 - 2008 figures, this extra prize fund could reach $10,000 PER SEGMENT, doubling the below numbers. Each 13 week segment, we will payout:
- $2,500 First Place
- $1,500 Second Place
- $750 Third Place
- $250 Fourth Place
The first segment will begin September 15, 2008 and end with the December 15, 2008 Tournaments (ending December 21, 2008). The second segment will begin January 5, 2009 and end with the March 30, 2009 Tournament (ending April 5, 2009).
