The VT Cup Series will be returning Oct, 2008
Drill up that new equipment and sand down the bottom of your shoes.
This is going to be a Bowling Tournament on Steriods!
For 24 weeks (two 12 week segments), from October 1, 2007 thru and including the March 24, 2008 Tournaments, we will be running a Tournament within our normal weekly Tournaments.
Here is how it will work::
For every dollar you win in our weekly Tournaments (during the VT Cup Series), you will be awarded one point per dollar, per league. If you are in multiple Leagues, then you will be entered into the VT Cup Series multiple times, however, since this is on a PER LEAGUE basis, you can only place in the top four of the VT Cup Series once.
How much does it cost?:
There is NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE to enter into the VT Cup Series. You simply enter any of our weekly Tournaments each week that you can and you are automatically involved in the VT Cup Series.
What are my chances?:
That all depends on you. Enter into as many of our weekly Tournaments as you can, including Brackets, Sidepots and Eliminators, then just bowl your heart out. Definately take advantage of the higher payouts in the Scratch Tournaments. While they may not have the prize fund that the Handicap Tournaments have, they do have higher payouts due to the increased entry fee. Doubles is also a great way since you can have unlimited number of entries by teaming up with multiple different people.
What do the top four winners receive?:
In addition to the estimated $10,000 PER WEEK payout available to ALL entrants, the VT Cup series will payout an additional $4,000 per segment ($8,000 Total). Each segment, we will payout:
- $2,000 First Place
- $1,000 Second Plage
- $750 Third Place
- $250 Fourth Place
The first segment will begin October 1, 2007 and end with the December 17, 2007 Tournaments (ending December 23, 2007). The second segment will begin January 7, 2008 and end with the March 24, 2008 Tournament (ending March 30, 2008).
In addition to the extra payouts, we will also be awarding a FREE Lane #1 Bowling Ball to the Top Weekly winner. You can win the free ball one time per segment. If the same person wins during the same segment, then the second place person during that week will receive the ball, and so on.
With the prize fund and the additional payouts mentioned above, we are anticipating a total purse of over $300,000 to be available during the VT Cup Series. How much of it do you want?
